The Wolf Pack Moon
The Wolf Pack Moon is a book of teen poetry about the struggles between optimism and pessimism. These are verses of the lands within and the lands without as written beneath the glow of the wolf pack moon. It is the name of the moon as given by the Algonquin Indians that hunted and gathered the Great Lakes State of Michigan where the author resides.
Cover painting by author Richard Rensberry.
Sample Poem:
My Enemies
If I were a tombstone,
I'd stand erect
atop your grave.
I'd mark your death
and bear your name,
chisled deep
across my chest.
I'd wear your epitaph
like a black tatoo.
My face would gleam
in a beam of sunlight.
I'd look at you
andfeel nothing but stone.
